Disruption on A9 northbound due to 'collision'

THE ROAD HAS NOW REOPENED AND ALL LANES ARE RUNNING.

TRAFFIC Scotland has said there is disruption on the A9 on Friday morning due to a collision.

In an update on Twitter/X, it said that the road was closed northbound at Skiach Services due to an incident.  

People have been advised to use alternative routes where they can.

The tweet was issued at 8.45 on the morning of Friday, June 7 and said: #A9 – Skiach Services. #A9 Northbound is currently CLOSED due to a collision.

“Please take care on approach and use alternative routes where possible.”

An update at 9.45 said Police were directing people through Alness. 

The National has reached out to Police Scotland for further comment.
