Disney (DIS) has always worked to expand imaginations over the last century through its wonderous characters heroes and heroine tales. Though every story has its ups and downs one thing is certain, the villain never wins in a Disney tale as the antagonist of the story falls to the hero or heroine.
Disney has been telling tales as old as time, and Walt Disney expected that his dream theme parks would never be completed. For as long as Imagineers could dream up new ways to engage and excite Disney guests, there would always be more room to expand what is possible at the theme parks.

Imagineers at Disney are expected and charged with keeping the magic alive, a tall request to continue to dream and realize the unimaginable into reality. Disney Imagineers use their creative minds to utilize technology and engineering to create new Disney parks experiences worldwide.
Disney Fans Applaud Villainous Additions
This isn't the first time that Disney has teased at the idea of creating villain additions to its theme parks, as it was rumored to have been mentioned back in the 1990's and it seems as though the idea may have life again. During the D23 presentation, Josh D'Aramo Disney's Parks Chairman created quite a stir in the crowd when mentioning the possibility of discussing all the things possible that could come from Disney's future developments, according to Entertainment Weekly.
When asked about the Disney fans response to a villain addition to the theme parks, Disney Imagineer Chris Beaty said that Disney did take notice of the excitement that came from the crowd when it was mentioned. Although he continued to explain that he believes that D'Aramo was just talking about all the things that are possible, but not about anything that is actually in the works at Disney.
"We're dreaming every day about what could be next at Walt Disney World. We just wanted to give you a peek at some of the amazing things that could be coming. It's changing every day. It's exciting. I think Josh was really trying to get across that spirit of creativity, of what could be next, of innovation, of the possibility of what could be is still alive and well at Disney and Imagineering," Beaty said regarding the D23 presentation.
Disney Villains Contributions
Disney villains always seem to lose out on whatever their mission is in the tales, but without the villains the heroes and heroines won't have a controversy to overcome, leaving the tales a bit blasé. Couldn't some villain attractions bring a new level of adrenalin and excitement to the parks?
Snow White could be peddling envy green candy apples, a deliciously evil treat on a hot day. The orphan Penny from "The Rescuers" could have been adopted with or without the actions of Madame Medusa, but Penny's story ends happily despite Medusa's best efforts. Disney could sell Penny's teddy bears with a jewel in its tummy.
While Disney already has a "Peter Pan" ride, what about riding around on Captain Hook's ship being chased by the crocodile? Disney could have Scar's Revenge a ride from "The Lion King" could be going through a stampede simulator with the wildebeests rushing by.
Taking villains to new heights, Syndrome from "The Incredibles" could be a ride that shoots guest up through the air as they try to escape capture by Mr. Incredible and his heroic family. Another fast and crazy ride could be riding shotgun next to Cruella from "101 Dalmatians" as her maddening driving sends sleet and snow all over, while she's looking for the puppies.
Disney has so many opportunities to create villainous additions to its theme parks, but will it ever happen? No one knows, there are no plans at this point, but perhaps that is because Disney prefers to stay more kid friendly than its competitors like Universal Studios, who rumor has it has trademarked the name "Dark Universe" for future use, according Inside the Magic.
