Disney theme parks keep their special attractions, events ,and other entertainment fresh for all visitors. While most people are busy thinking about summer plans, Disney parks are planning the rest of the year's fun activities.
When many people start to think about planning a vacation it is usually weeks, months ,and sometimes years in advance. So, Walt Disney (DIS) planning out its year's worth of activities really isn’t as weird as it might seem, as tourists want to know all the activities available to them during their visits to the Disney Parks.
Disney recently announced a first-of-its-kind official event celebrating LGTBQAI+ Pride during Pride Month. Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., will host two Disney After Dark: Pride Nites in June 13 and June 15. The two nights are the first official Pride events hosted by Disney theme parks, while there have been many unofficial Pride events in the past. There is no official word on if Disney World in Florida will also host any official Pride events, but Disney fans have already started asking for the event.
Disney Makes Plans Official
Disney World is already making plans for August through November, as it plans to bring back its annual beloved Magic Kingdom attraction Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, n evening costume party at the park.. This event has been held annually since 1995 on select days in the months from August to November.
The first night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is Aug. 11 and continues on select nights until Nov. 1, from 7 p.m. until midnight.. Walt Disney World Resort hotels guests staying at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green can purchase tickets beginning April 27. all other guests will be able purchase tickets starting May 2.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party includes a parade down Main Street that will include both Disney heroes and Disney villains like the fan favorites Headless Horseman from “The Adventures of Ichabod Crane” and the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” There might even be some new characters this year, according to Disney Parks Blog. Disney will also have its beloved characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy all decked out in spooky Halloween costumes.
While the party is hopping, guests will be able to experience some of the fan favorite attractions like the Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the new Tron Lightcycle/Run ride.
Disney’s Hocus Pocus Spell-tacular will also return with the Sanderson Sisters. The witchy sisters will be on the stage at Cinderella’s Castle. The sisters will use their out of this world magic to create a Spook-tacular show, along with a nighttime fireworks display that will light up the night with special effects, music and projections.
Disney’s Magic Kingdom Spooky Events Return
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is an event just like it sounds. It is a kid-friendly event geared toward younger kids who want to get out and enjoy a fun-filled evening of spooky treats and tricks. Guests are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes and can go trick-or-treating throughout the Magic Kingdom and collect sweet treats.
Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., usually hosts the "Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party," a separately ticketed, limited-capacity after-hours event at California Adventure Park, but the theme park has not listed specific dates for the event or when tickets are available.
