Disney To Release 4K Blu-Ray Editions Of Popular TV Shows

4K Blu-ray editions of Marvel and Lucasfilm TV shows announced by Disney.

The Walt Disney Company has announced the upcoming release of 4K Blu-ray editions for four popular Lucasfilm and Marvel TV shows originally featured on its Disney+ streaming platform. The Collector’s Edition 4K BD versions of Marvel’s The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, Moon Knight, Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Star Wars: Andor are set to be available on April 30.

These new releases will come in steelbook packaging designed by artist Attila Szarka and will include concept art cards and exclusive bonus features. Each edition showcases stunning visuals, with Moon Knight and Andor being particularly noteworthy.

The Falcon And The Winter Soldier: The Complete First Season will span approximately 304 minutes across two 100GB discs, featuring a Dolby Atmos sound mix and HDR10 format. Extra features include a featurette on Cap’s Shield, a gag reel, deleted scenes, and a making-of documentary.

Moon Knight: The Complete First Season will run for 288 minutes across two 100GB discs, with similar technical specifications as The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. Bonus content includes a featurette on Egyptian mythology, a gag reel, deleted scenes, and a making-of documentary.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: The Complete Series will have a total runtime of around 261 minutes spread across two 100GB discs, featuring a Dolby Atmos sound mix and HDR10 presentation. Bonus features include a director’s commentary for the series finale and three featurettes.

Andor: The Complete First Season will be the longest release at 546 minutes, requiring three 100GB discs. The technical specifications remain consistent, with Dolby Atmos sound and HDR10 video. Bonus content comprises five featurettes covering various aspects of the series.

Disney’s decision to release these 4K Blu-ray editions follows the success of their initial batch of Marvel/Lucasfilm releases. Fans can pre-order these new releases in the US starting from March 12, offering physical media enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy these popular shows in high-quality format.
