Disney+ star Park Soo Ryun, 29, dies after falling down a set of stairs

Disney+ star Park Soo Ryun has died at the age of 29 .

The South Korean actress, who starred in a number of K-dramas including Snowdrop, passed away over the weekend after a fatal fall down a set of stairs.

She slipped at a property on a visit to Jeju Island where she was about to a perform hours later.

Park was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment but was pronounced brain-dead by medics after attempts to revive her.

In her honour, her family has decided to donate her organs.

She rose to fame Park after making her debut in 2018 with the musical Il Tenore.

The talented star made the move to television in 2021, appearing in series Snowdrop alongside Blackpink singer Jisoo.

Her mother said that her daughter' brain was unconscious but the heart was still beating.

She told local media: "There must be someone who desperately needs organs. As her mother and father, we will be able to live comforted by the thought that her heart has gone to someone and is beating."

Park is the second Snowdrop star to lose her life in recent years.

Back in January 2022, Kim Mi-soo - who also appeared in Hellbound - passed away.

“We’re having to share an extremely heartbreaking and sad news. Actor Kim Mi-soo has suddenly left us on January 5,” a statement read.

“The bereaved are currently extremely heartbroken at this sudden grievous news.

“We sincerely ask to refrain from sharing rumors or speculative reports, so the shocked and saddened family can reverently commemorate the late actor.

“The funeral will be held in private in accordance with the family’s will.

“We hope you would pray for the late actor to rest in peace, and once again, we send our deepest condolences to late Kim’s last journey.”
