Disney's Aladdin is Wales Millennium Centre's 2023 Christmas show and here's how to get tickets

Christmas might feel like a long time away, but we already have some exciting festive news for theatre and Disney-lovers in and around Cardiff. Wales Millennium Centre has announced its Christmas show and it will be the critically acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Aladdin.

It will visit the Cardiff Bay theatre on its first-ever UK and Ireland tour from Thursday, December 7 2023 to Sunday, January 14, 2024.

The WMC's Ffrind scheme members will get early access to tickets, and you can sign up to be a Ffrind member here, while general sale tickets for Aladdin will go on sale on Friday, March 31 from www.wmc.org.uk You can keep up to date with the latest What's On news by signing up to the newsletter here.

Adapted from Disney’s 1992 animated film and centuries-old folktales including “One Thousand and One Nights”, this smash-hit musical is brought to theatrical life in a unique and dazzling way.

Thomas Schumacher, President and Producer of Disney Theatrical Productions said: "As Aladdin approaches its second decade onstage, we are thrilled that the 11th production of the glorious Broadway show will soon be seen by audiences throughout the UK and Ireland. Thanks to Casey Nicholaw's direction, Alan Menken's music and the peerless design team of Bob Crowley, Natasha Katz and Gregg Barnes this show is a powerful tonic, an irresistible lift for every audience who sees it".

The Wales Millennium Centre has also announced that Pretty Woman: The Musical will be walking down the street to the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff in 2024. The show will be coming to the Wales Millennium Centre from Monday, April 29, 2024, to Saturday, May 4, 2024.
