Disney Magic cruise ship arrives in Liverpool for one day only

The Disney Magic cruise ship has arrived in Liverpool today.

The much-loved Disney-themed ship has proven to be popular with families on previous visits to the city. This time, the ship arrived at Liverpool Cruise Terminal at 8am and will depart at 6.15pm.

In previous years there have been a range of events taking place to mark the ship's visit to the city, however, a spokesperson for Liverpool City Council confirmed that this will not be happening this year. Those who wish to catch a glimpse of the ship today can do so by heading down to the Pier Head and making their way towards Liverpool Cruise Terminal.

The ship is almost 1,000ft long, with 11 decks and the capacity to hold 1,754 passengers. Those who are lucky enough to be onboard the ship can enjoy a special journey immersed in the magical world of Disney.

Aiming to combine classic nostalgia with modern amenities, the Disney Magic ship offers plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Guests can experience dazzling live performances in the onboard Walt Disney Theatre, such as a live showing of Tangled: The Musical.

Disney fans also have the opportunity to meet some of their favourite characters on the ship at kids clubs and through surprise encounters during the cruise. The itinerary also features a spectacular firework show, which allows guests to marvel at an impressive display of colours, lights and songs illuminating the sky.

The ship aims to cater to fans of all ages with a wide variety of activities on offer for guests to enjoy. Adults can unwind in the spa and salon, while kids can let their imagination run wild with kids clubs and character experiences. The onboard Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique offers young guests the chance to transform into little princesses or knights.
