Disney apologises after 'evil' Disneyland worker totally ruins couple's magical proposal

Disney has issued an apology after a park employee ruined a couple's magical dream proposal.

An unnamed man and woman took a trip to Disneyland Paris, where the man popped the question to his girlfriend in front of the iconic castle.

However, things didn't quite go to plan, as a viral video of the big moment has shown a staff member rudely interrupting them moment as he runs between the two.

The man is seen snatching the ring box from the man's hand before running down a set of steps, saying: "Yes, that's great but over here will be even better."

The post online was captioned: "POS destroyed my best friend's moment. He asked for permission beforehand."

Now Disney has issued an apology saying: "We regret how this was handled.

"We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right."

A number of boos can be heard as onlookers watch the scene unfold, clearly baffled by what is going on.

The Reddit user who shared the video, who goes by the username u/wasgehtlan, claimed in the comments that his friend had asked a female employee at Disney for permission to propose on the platform and she'd given him the go-ahead.

The man had planned a dream proposal infront of the iconic castle (Disneyland Paris)

But then the man ran up and grabbed the ring.

The proposal footage garnered over 9,600 comments on Reddit and was also shared on Twitter where it was seen by thousands more people.

Many were outraged for the couple, with one branded the employee "a little bit evil" for spoiling the moment.

"I know it seems small but I genuinely believe you must be a little bit evil to do this lol. Like it's just absurdly mean," proclaimed one person.

Another wrote: "The way he ran up there proves it to me. He wanted to get there just in time to snatch the ring at the perfect moment, so he sprinted over there. Could have easily let it happen and moved them soon after."

A third posted: "Credit for the guy for not getting angry. Great show of character to your wife-to-be."

"He was already on a knee! At that point let him finish and then kick him out if you want," exclaimed a fellow disbelieving viewer.

However, not everyone thought the Disney worker was in the wrong, with some branding him a "hero".

Someone else said: "Public proposals are cringe. This man is a hero for stopping it."

A different user pointed out that the man was just doing his job, adding: "They are in a no guest zone on a stage. So basically a restricted area. And the employee that gave permission probably didn't have the right to do so."
