Police are investigating after gravestones were stolen from a church. The vicar said the theft of the paving slabs, including gravestones, was "disgusting".
Reverend Matthew Davis from St Sannan's church in Bedwellty said on Facebook: "Someone has disgustingly stolen slabs from the path and gate to St Sannan’s. Some of the slabs were gravestones. If you stole them or know who did, do the right thing and bring them back. It’s repentance time, as the bible says in Ephesians: 'Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.'
"It’s fair to say St Sannan's is dear to many people's hearts. It’s such a shame to see it vandalised in this way. Please be careful on-site when walking around the church."
