A local Morrisons shopper was left feeling disgusted after noticing a fellow customer put eight beef steaks down his trousers - before attempting to flee the scene.
The woman, who was shopping at the Dalkeith store in Midlothian, claims the meat was then put back on the shelf by an employee, much to her horror.
Morrisons confirmed they were aware of the alleged incident, which took place on Wednesday, March 15.

The woman says she say the would-be shoplifter confronted by staff, before four of the vacuum-packed steaks were placed back on display.
The customer took to Twitter to voice her concern. She said: "I was in your Dalkeith store today and alerted your staff to a man who had put eight steaks down his trousers and walked out shop.
"Staff apprehended him, got four of the steaks back and then butcher put back on shelf. Is this usual practice?"
Since being contacted by Edinburgh Live, Morrisons declined to comment but did confirm they are aware of the incident and that the items were hidden by the alleged shoplifter momentarily.
The customer also got in touch with Morrisons on Twitter and shared the response she claims she received with Edinburgh Live.
The messages show Morrisons told the shopper that customers can not be restrained from inspecting items and any issues with the packaging and products will be discarded.
