A concerted attempt is being made to convince MLAs who have been denied Cabinet berths. Some of the senior MLAs, inlcuding Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, Samineni Udaya Bhanu and K. Parthasaradhy, met Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday.
Accompanied by Minister for Energy Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy met Mr. Jagan. Later, he said that though he was not happy, he had committed himself to work for the party and ensure it wins in the next elections in 2024.
However, former Home Minister M. Sucharita could not meet the Chief Minister on Tuesday. MP Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao too called on Ms. Sucharita and asked her to reconsider her decision to resign.
Adviser (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that party MLAs should not feel disgruntled as the party was like a family and everyone would get chances at the right time.
