Discover the lost city of Atlantis at Sea Life Bangkok

To celebrate the school break, Sea Life Bangkok has launched the Lost City campaign, which will transport young explorers to the lost underworld realm of Atlantis through the thrilling performance Mermaid Dive.

Located on B1-B2 floors of Siam Paragon, the aquarium has been revamped to create an atmosphere of the ancient city submerged in the ocean and utilises multimedia technology to offer fresh experiences for families to imagine together.

According to legend, the Atlantis kingdom was once a powerful, technologically advanced empire, but Zeus punished the land for its moral degradation. The entire city was engulfed by the sea and vanished due to the intensity of fires and earthquakes. The seahorse kingdom formed following the destruction of Atlantis before evolving into the Xebel kingdom, whose inhabitants rode seahorses.

Visitors will be greeted by five different species of seahorses and each tank is adorned with artefacts from the old city. The 7m deep-sea coral tank amphitheatre transforms the Arena into a picturesque spot. It offers fresh ornamental accents, like shimmering sea anemones in vibrant colours which add a fanciful touch. Kids may play nearby at the Clay Works activity zone while making their own DIY marine animal bookmarks out of clay.

A sculpted figure of the sea god Poseidon, who is said to have given birth to the residents of Atlantis, and young mermaids from the aquatic realm surrounding an old gateway give visitors the impression that they are entering the heart of an ancient city. Visitors can pretend to be a noble member of this kingdom while sitting on the ancient throne that is surrounded by vivid coral. Through the end of the year, the Mermaid Dive show is on four times a day on weekends and public holidays -- 11.45am, 1pm, 2.30pm and 4.15pm. Visitors can enjoy the promotion "Buy 1 Get 2" with a bulk package that includes admission to both Sea Life Bangkok and Madame Tussauds Bangkok. Tickets start from 500 baht for children and 600 baht for adults.
