Discount retailer B&M to take over former Toys R Us site in Bristol

A discount retailer is taking over the former Toys R Us site in Brislington in Bristol.

B&M, which operates from more than 630 high street and out-of-town stores across the UK, as well as under the JAWoll brand in Germany and Babou in France, will be moving into Brislington Retail Park.

The new store will sell branded products including toys, food and drink, a pet range, health and beauty products, and homewares. It will also sell DIY and decorating products, and furniture.

The opening of the branch will create 50 jobs and will "boost the regional economy", according to a spokesperson.

The said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of more jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in a few weeks.”

The store is due to open its doors on Friday, August 30.

Toys R Us went into administration in 2018 after talks to find a buyer failed. The store in Brislington in Bristol closed in March that year.
