Families have expressed their disappointment after two PAW Patrol shows in Nottingham were cancelled at short notice. In a statement issued at 1.49pm on Wednesday, August 17, Motorpoint Arena said that both of the popular live kids shows at 1.30pm and 4.30pm had been cancelled.
The venue said it was due to cast illness. "We understand the frustration and inconvenience caused by this late announcement; however, it was simply impossible for the show to go ahead," it wrote in a later statement.
"We are looking into the possibility of rescheduling the show or to arrange for customers to see the show at another venue so we will update customers as soon as possible. Customers should contact their point of sale for further details."

Holly, whose niece had travelled for more than an hour from Lichfield to see the show for her fifth birthday, told Nottinghamshire Live it was "a load of nonsense". She said: "While sitting in their seats waiting for the show to start it was cancelled due to illness.
"Parents [are] absolutely fuming, petrol and car parking [money] all wasted and they just say sorry." Social media users also acted angrily to the announcement, questioning why it took so long to make the decision. "Very poor management of the situation," one person wrote on Twitter.
"Understand somethings are difficult to avoid but this was known about at least 30mins before and posted to social media, before it was announced to everyone in the arena." another said: "I understand some things are beyond control but them poor kids shouldn’t of been allowed in, in the first place.
"It shouldn’t of been left until show time to announce. So many kids didn’t even know what they were doing there before going in. Disgusting behaviour." added another tweet: "Nice one leaving it until 1:30 to announce it’s cancelled, why even let everyone in? Shambles."
