Residents say they are "disappointed" after the last remaining bank in their town closed its doors for good.
The Lloyds Banking Group branch, based in Station Street, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, announced late last year that it would close its branch on February 7, despite its standing in the town for generations.
It also confirmed it would shut 48 branches altogether in 2022.
Pictures taken from Station Street show the iconic Lloyds signage has already been taken down.
Now, residents have spoken of their sadness
Retired Hucknall resident John Wilkinson, 66, said: "The point about it is its position in the town.
"Yes, I agree, in terms of efficiency banking online is more efficient but it is not easy for everyone.
"It's not just a cash dispenser
Glenys Sage, 72, who lives in Kirkby, said: "I'm very disappointed.
"I have to go to Sutton now if I need a service or need to talk to the bank.
"I haven't always got the time to go to Sutton.
"I don't use the internet so it's difficult for me.
"All of the banks in the area seem to be closing now - it's a bit of a problem, it makes you wonder what's going on."
MP for Ashfield, Lee Anderson, along with other councillors, wrote to the bank in a bid to get officials to reverse their decision back in November, 2021, but with little success.
Lloyds Banking Group said that the reason for their decision was due to the changing ways in which customers now bank with them.
Contract caterer Ali Wiadsceck, 57, said: "Online banking isn't easy for everyone and there aren't that many banks still left in Ashfield really, is there.
"I read somewhere that around five million people still rely heavily on cash, so it must be tough for a lot of people.
"There's a large section of people that still desperately need cash."
