Sunderland supporters were pleased with their side's performance against Premier League side Fulham despite their defeat in the FA Cup. Goals from Harry Wilson, Andreas Pereira and Layvin Kurzawa avoided a scare at the Black Cats to secure a place in the last 16 for Marco Silva's side.
Jack Clarke and Jewison Bennette scored to make it a nervy end to the game for the Cottagers and they had other opportunities to win the tie. A much improved second-half performance saw Marc Duffy clear Amad Diallo's effort off the line and Patrick Roberts went close prior to that.
There were plenty of positives for the Red and White Army who were proud by the performance.
