The second edition of Diriyah Season will return on Oct. 20 with a full agenda to hold several international sports tournaments and diversified entertainment events at the historical city of Diriyah until Feb. 22.
The Diriyah Season 2022 is back with an inauguration ceremony that will include announcing a pack of tournaments and events that target visitors of various age groups over four consecutive months.
The head of the Diriyah Season Committee, Prince Abdulaziz al-Faisal, announced that the committee is delighted to announce the approach of the Diriyah Season 2022 in the city that enjoys a significant history and prestigious heritage and geographical status for being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Prince Abdulaziz explained that the big successes of events and sports in Diriyah, through Formula E, the World Heavyweight Championship, and the first edition of the Diriyah Season, are a motive to organize the second season.
He called on all audiences from Saudi Arabia and abroad to participate and enjoy the events that the season offers.
The CEO of Diriyah Gate Development Authority, Jerry Inzerillo, said that Diriyah is a proper location to host all regional and international occasions in all fields.
“We are excited to see big numbers of visitors flocking from across the world to see the new season, and we look forward to satisfying their passion with exciting sports and entertainment experiences,” said Inzerillo.
Diriyah Season 2022 seeks to achieve the development and economic targets of Vision 2030 by developing the events sector in the entertainment, sports, tourists, and cultural fields to provide attractive events that enhance the prosperity of the national economy and the vitality of society.
The historic Diriyah achieved global success by hosting many global sporting events with a large number of Saudi audiences and tourists. It also organized several international cultural, entertainment, and tourism events.
