During a recent appearance on 'Fox News Sunday,' Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard expressed concerns about the perceived lack of support from European countries for President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance's efforts in response to the Ukrainian crisis.
Gabbard highlighted what she described as a 'divergence' between the values upheld by the U.S. leadership and those of certain European nations that have rallied behind Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. She suggested that critics of Trump's approach are not genuinely committed to peace.

Specifically, Gabbard called out countries like Germany, the UK, and Romania for their actions, implying that their support for Zelensky may prolong the conflict rather than help resolve it. She also referenced the cancellation of elections in Ukraine due to the ongoing martial law imposed after Russia's invasion in 2022.
According to Gabbard, many Americans have praised the leadership displayed by Trump and Vance in addressing the crisis, contrasting it with what she characterized as a lack of strong leadership during the Biden administration. She emphasized the importance of prioritizing the interests of the American people in evaluating the situation.
While Gabbard's remarks underscored her belief in the effectiveness of Trump and Vance's approach, they also raised questions about the alignment of values and priorities between the U.S. and its European allies in responding to the conflict in Ukraine.
