Liverpool will give Diogo Jota every chance of being available for Sunday's Carabao Cup final against Chelsea - but Roberto Firmino has been ruled out.
Jota has been a major doubt for the Wembley showpiece since suffering a ligament injury during the Champions League win at Inter Milan last Wednesday.
The Portuguese was substituted at half-time and left the stadium wearing a protective boot having undergone scans in Italy before further checks on Liverpool's return to Merseyside.

Jota was absent from Saturday's Premier League win over Norwich City and also sat out the 6-0 romp over Leeds United on Wednesday, but has since resumed fitness work at Kirkby.
And speaking on Friday, Liverpool assistant boss Pep Lijnders said of Jota's chances: "So far no reaction on the things he has done, the straight line running, change of direction and the ball work he has done.
"That's a good sign. He isn't ruled out but it still will be a challenge."
Firmino replaced Jota at the San Siro but later complained of a muscle problem that also ruled him out of Liverpool's last two games.
But there is no chance of the Brazilian being available for Wembley with the forward instead continuing his rehabilitation.
"Bobby, we have to see in the next few days," said Lijnders. "He is pushing himself really hard but he will not be available for the final.
"We hope he will be back really soon as you all know how important he is for our way of play.
"It is good that he is pushing himself and hopefully soon he will be back."
