Diogo Jota has been rewarded for his progress at Liverpool with an improved new long-term contract.
Jota has put pen to paper on a five-year deal having made an impressive impact following his arrival from Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2020 for an initial £41million.
The 25-year-old forward has netted 34 goals in 85 appearances and notched 21 times last season as part of the Reds side that won the League Cup and FA Cup, reached the final of the Champions League and finished a point behind Premier League champions Manchester City.

Liverpool were keen to recognise the development of Jota, with the contract in keeping with the club's strategy of rewarding players on the basis of individual progress and their contribution to Jurgen Klopp's team.
Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward oversaw negotiations following positive discussions with the player's representative Jorge Mendes during the summer.
Jota - who has been employed on both flanks and down the middle of the attack during his time at Liverpool - has been sidelined since early July after aggravating a hamstring injury suffered when on international duty the previous month, and is expected to remain out for at least the next few weeks.
He is the latest Liverpool player to agree a new contract this summer with the club continuing their policy of secuing the core of their squad.
Mohamed Salah, Joe Gomez and James Milner all penned fresh deals, while talks are ongoing with representatives of Naby Keita, who is in the final 12 months of his current agreement.
