Diogo Jota carried his fine Liverpool goal scoring form into the international break as he scored Portugal's second goal in their 3-1 win over Turkey in the World Cup Qualifiers Play-Offs. Meanwhile, Reds new boy Luis Diaz copied Jota in scoring for his nation after opening the scoring in Colombia's 3-0 win over Bolivia.
Jota has scored 19 times in all competitions for the Reds this season and he found himself starting in a forward two for Portugal alongside Manchester United star man Cristiano Ronaldo in Porto's Estadio do Dragao.
Portugal's World Cup ambitions took a step closer to being realised after their win set up a winner takes all final against North Macedonia - who beat European champions Italy 1-0 in what was a result that shocked the footballing world.

In South America, Diaz helped Colombia keep alive their slim hopes of joining Jota in Qatar after he produced a sublime goal to open the scoring against Bolovia. With confidence already soaring high after his move from Porto at the end of January, Reds fans are hoping Diaz is the deciding factor in the Premier League title race.
Once again, fans were left in awe at the aerial prowess of Jota after he seemed to give Turkey goalkeeper, Ugurcan Cakir, the eyes and powered Bruno Fernandes' cross beyond the stopper. Liverpool fans have seen this on many occasions since his arrival from Wolves in 2020.
Jota will be hoping to help his Portugal side win once again as they take on North Macedonia on Tuesday, March 29 for a place at the World Cup in Qatar.
For Colombia, Diaz started on the left of a forward three and produced a piece of magic for his goal - which left spectators raving over the new Liverpool signing. Diaz has made an impressive start to life at Anfield since his move in January and looks set to carry on that fine form in the closing months of the season.
Meanwhile, Alisson kept a clean sheet for Brazil as Fabinho came on for the last 10 minutes in a 4-0 victory over Chile.
