Diogo Dalot makes Manchester United squad admission after back-to-back victories

Manchester United aren't getting ahead of themselves after turning around their dire start to the season by picking up two wins on the trot.

That's according to Diogo Dalot, who has revealed that the mood is good within the United camp but insists that successive victories should be the norm rather than a rarity. Erik ten Hag's reign couldn't have got off to a much worse start after he watched his side lose to Brighton on the opening weekend before being battered 4-0 by Brentford the following week.

Those humiliations made the prospect of facing Liverpool a daunting one but United put in a great performance against their fierce rivals to win 2-1. At the weekend, they followed that up by grinding out a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Southampton.

The upturn in form has been galvanising amongst the players and Dalot has detailed how the squad are thinking ahead of their matchup with Leicester City on Thursday. "Yeah it's been good," the Portuguese told United's in-house media when asked about the mood in the camp this week.

"I mean It's always easier to train when you're winning games, when things are going well. But I think we kept the standards. It's the way it should be.

"After defeat against Brentford, I think we had to bring the basics every single day. The standards, the right standards at this club. So we did it well, obviously, it doesn't mean nothing if we don't continue doing it.

"So it's good. It's been a good week. We don't want to over-hype the fact that we win two games, this is the normal way that it should be at this club. We know that we did well and we want to keep doing it."
