A beloved school dinner lady served her last meal after nearly 33 years of feeding pupils.
Ann McKay has been working in the Kitchen at Blackridge Primary School since 1990 and finally hung up her apron before the summer holidays.
Ann, from Armadale, had initially intended to stay for three weeks but liked the school so much she remained for over three decades.
Her daughter, Susan Laing, said: “She started in the kitchen in December 1990 initially for three weeks and stayed for 32-and-a-half years.
“She really enjoyed her job in the kitchen, made a lot of friends for life and will really miss the kids and her colleagues.
“She is however looking forward to the rest after being on her feet for so long and plans to slow down and spend more time with friends and family.”
Claire McGoldrick, head teacher at Blackridge wished Ann the best of luck, but said she would be missed by everyone in school.
She said: “Ann has been a valued member of our school community for over 30 years and all of our children and staff will really miss her.
“We wish her well as she starts this new chapter.
“To celebrate her retirement, Ann had a lovely afternoon tea with her colleagues and the whole school community came together to give her a special send-off at our final assembly of 2022-23.”
