Dillon Danis pays for bullied teenager to learn jiu-jitsu after claiming the sport 'saved his life'

Undefeated MMA bad boy Dillon Danis has shown a softer side as he helped a young man being bullied sign up for a jiu-jitsu class.

Baltimore teenager Keyday Oungan went viral when a video of a brutal attack on him in what appears to be a school bathroom gained millions of hits on social media.

The video inspired Bellator MMA star and Conor McGregor training partner Danis, who admitted that he had been bullied growing up, to get in touch with the 14-year-old and help him sign up for BJJ classes.

Speaking on Instagram, Danis said: "This is one of the most meaningful things I’ve done in my life thus far and plan on doing it more and more to create something that will last for generations to come.

"From being on the receiving side of bullying and Jiu-Jitsu saving my life, I’m now in a position where I have a platform that can help others down the same path.

"This path has brought me everything in my life and giving back to others is a feeling I cannot put into words.

"I am so proud of this young man for taking me up on my offer and getting into the dojo, showing up is half the battle and that applies to everything in this life.

"We’re all in this together, let’s go champ!"

The BJJ black belt is still out of action after suffering an injury in his sophomore Mixed Martial Arts bout against Max Humphrey at Bellator 222.

Danis trains under SBG Ireland boss John Kavanagh and has been part of a number of Conor McGregor's big fight camps.

He is currently angling for a boxing fight with YouTube star Jake Paul after a rivalry erupted on social media between the pair.
