Dillon Danis wants that Nate Diaz smoke.
The Bellator fighter and former training partner of Conor McGregor is interested in fighting Diaz in a boxing match. Danis is confident he can defeat the MMA star.
“Nate Diaz couldn’t box eggs,” Danis told MMA Junkie on Friday. “I’d outwork him in a boxing match until I decided to put his lights out and send him packing back to the ‘rat pack.'”
Diaz currently is a free agent. He fought out his UFC contract this past September with a submission of Tony Ferguson in the UFC 279 main event. The 37-year-old has teased a move to boxing for a while, but has yet to book anything for his post-UFC career.
Danis, who has only two professional MMA fights under his belt, has yet to fight since mid-2019. Danis briefly was booked to fight YouTube star KSI in a boxing match in January, but withdrew from the contest. KSI’s manager said Danis pulled out because he was “under prepared.”
