Dillian Whyte told to 'stop moaning' in Tyson Fury negotiations after receiving contract

Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte is close to being given the green light with the latter being sent the contract.

The fight has been somewhat of a saga to organise with the purse bids delaying the process on four occasions before it was finally agreed upon last month.

There is set to be an 80:20 split between the Gypsy King and Whyte, with a £31million deal agreed by Frank Warren's team for the fight where £25million will go to his client Fury and £6million to Whyte.

Reports suggest the fight could be held at Wembley Stadium - with Cardiff's Principality Stadium also in the running to host the fight.

Whyte's promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that Whyte will sign the fight contract shortly but Fury's promoter Frank Warren wants the Body Snatcher to hurry up.

The Queensberry Promotions chief told the Mirror: "That’s all we want to do, get on with it.”

"He’s been bleating and moaning that it’s been 1,000 days - I think it’s more like 1,200 days - that he’s been waiting.

"Well he’s got his shot now and he’s getting a record purse for it, plus that carrot of £4m if he wins, so go for it.

"All the nonsense that’s gone down from Eddie Hearn about the deposit, the deposit has been paid.

"The contract has been approved by the WBC and has been sent to them, so it’s up to Whyte’s people to send it back now.

"The ball’s in their court, absolutely.

"There shouldn’t be any issues. We won the purse bid, we’re using the standard WBC contract, both boxers sign it and that should be it. What’s there to negotiate?"

On a potential venue, Warren added: “We’ve had a few people come to us at the moment, we still haven’t made our mind up what direction we’re going in.

“We’ve had some good offers so we’re looking at that and we’ll make our decision some time next week.”
