Dillian Whyte has once again called for Anthony Joshua to "run it back" and accept a heavyweight rematch.
Joshua has not fought since losing in his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in August, and is eyeing a return in 2023 with the likes of Whyte and Deontay Wilder shortlisted as potential rivals. Whyte narrowly outpointed Jermaine Franklin last month as Joshua watched his rival from ringside.
A whole host of other options are expected to be in the running for Joshua including Otto Wallin and Frank Sanchez who both hold high slots in the world rankings. But Whyte believes it should be him next in the firing line and posted a message for his rival on Instagram, which read: “Let’s run it back, Anthony Joshua.”
Whyte lost to Joshua in an all-British dust-up in 2015, where their bitter feud ignited into a war in the ring which even spilt over beyond the bell in some rounds. Prior to Joshua's recent second loss to Usyk, the pair came face-to-face in a chance meeting, where Whyte revealed the pair had agreed to rekindle their rivalry.
The 'Body Snatcher' remains a leading contender with the WBC but came up short in his title challenge in April against rival Tyson Fury. It is understood Joshua could look to follow down that route to set up his long-awaited shot at Fury, which collapsed just last month.
Whyte has looked to put himself in pole position for Joshua's return fight by suggesting he would take a sizeable pay cut to secure this shot at redemption. “I’ll fight Joshua tomorrow. I’ll fight him for less money,” Whyte said. “Whenever me and him fight, sparks fly. We just want to beat each other up.

“I’ll fight Joshua even when I’m 60. It’s a fight that will make me faster, diet better, and make me go to bed at 7 o’clock every day." He later added: "If me and him lace up gloves it is going to be a war regardless. Even if we lost our next ten fights it is going to be a war because we have the same energy that Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier had.
"Of course I would love that fight, he is one of the people I have lost too. I have already avenged one and I want to avenge the other two. "We have grown a lot physically and mentally, and definitely we have improved technically since the first fight. I'm not going to sit here and say he has changed like this and changed like that, styles make fights."
