'Difficult' Newcastle prediction made amid Arsenal and Man City title race

Former Chelsea and Newcastle United midfielder Geremi still believes Arsenal are favourites for the title over Manchester City.

The Gunners currently sit top of the Premier League but have seen their gap to City half in the last two weeks after squandering consecutive two-goal leads at Liverpool and West Ham United. City also boast a superior goal difference and game in hand over Arsenal, with the two sides scheduled to meet next week at the Etihad in what could prove to be decisive.

But amid William Saliba's continued absence, the recent dropped points and City's incredible run of form, Arsenal are already starting to be written off by some in their title quest. Geremi, however, is not having any of that, still maintaining that Arsenal have a better chance of winning the league as the Premier League is the only competition they have to focus on, whereas City remain in three.

"I think Arsenal will give everything to win the title. I think Arsenal have a slightly higher percentage of winning the league than Manchester City – I’d give them a 60% percent chance and City a 40% chance. In football anything can happen, let’s wait and see."
