Michael Owen believes a point didn't help either side after Leeds United drew 1-1 against Leicester City at Elland Road on Tuesday night.
Leeds are two places and two points above the relegation zone, while Leicester are directly below them in the table, and one-point clear of danger.
However, Everton could leapfrog both of them in the table if they can pull off a shock victory over Newcastle United on Thursday, while Nottingham Forest can move level on points with Leeds when they welcome Brighton to the City Ground on Wednesday.

Former Liverpool and England striker Owen was shocked not to see Wilfried Gnonto introduced, and insists the result will be viewed as a positive by Leeds' relegation rivals.
"Only two points gained, as opposed to three, so it’s a good result for everyone down there at the bottom," Owen told BT Sport.
"Gnonto was probably sung most of any player by the Leeds faithful and he didn’t even get on so that was a strange one. But, I agree with the lads, I thought Leicester edged it.
"I thought it was a great game to be fair, although I can’t believe how Leeds didn’t score with that passage of play ending up in the corner. It was a decent game but didn’t really help either side."
