Former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann has snubbed Jamie Carragher in his ultimate five-a-side team.
When picking his team from all the great players he’s played with, Hamann started off by saying “I won’t pick Carragher”.
Instead he opted to play former Finnish international Sami Hyypiä at the back.
In front of him Hamann picked midfield maestro Xabi Alonso, who made 210 appearances for The Reds across a five year spell.
He’s opted for two attacking midfielders in former Germany and Bayern Munich teammate Mehmet Scholl and Elano.
Elano played with Hamann at Manchester City before the Abu Dhabi United Group takeover in 2008.
One Liverpool legend Hamann could not snub was former captain Steven Gerrard.
Gerrard scored 186 goals for The Reds and starts up top in Hamann’s ultimate five-a-side team.
Whilst this team may be packed full of goals, Hyypiä would have his work cut-off with the absence of a goalkeeper.
Hamann was speaking to AceOdds.com.
