Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing fresh allegations of sexual assault, as a new complaint claims he raped a 16-year-old babysitter. The lawsuit, filed in New York, adds to the growing list of legal troubles for the music mogul.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the plaintiff, identified only as Jane Doe, alleges that the incident occurred in late August or early September 2000. The woman claims she encountered Combs while leaving a babysitting job in Lower Manhattan.
The lawsuit states that Combs, who was sitting in a car with “two male individuals who apparently worked for him”, offered her a ride home. The Jane Doe allegedly refused his offer multiple times as her parents lived right around the corner, but eventually accepted.
“Getting into Combs’ car that day was something (Jane Doe) would come to regret forever. During the ride, (she) became scared when they did not drop her off at home as promised,” the lawsuit states, per USA Today.
Combs allegedly gave Jane Doe a drink in the car and “she soon became groggy and unsteady. Combs and his staff, the two male co-defendants, proceeded to a location where she was sexually assaulted by Combs”, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit further alleges that Combs and two other men took the plaintiff to another location where she was “raped by Combs”.
Afterwards, she claims she was dropped off in the lobby of her apartment building.
Combs’ legal team has vehemently denied these allegations.
“No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted, or sex trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor,” they said in a statement to PEOPLE.
Combs is currently named as a defendant in more than 30 lawsuits accusing him of sexual misconduct and is set to start trial on May 5 of this year. He is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
