Clarkson’s Farm breakout star Kaleb Cooper has detailed what fans of the Amazon Prime show can expect ahead of the second series.
The first season of Clarkson’s Farm dropped on Prime Video in July 2021 and since then fans have been eagerly awaiting updates on its highly anticipated return.
Season one proved to be an unexpected smash hit for the streamer, with viewers loving Jeremy Clarkson ’s classic brutish approach to farming life – as well as Kaleb’s scathing comments.
The first season of Clarkson’s Farm followed the origins of Diddly Squat, from an empty field to a busy working farm amid the coronavirus lockdown.
Updates on the second season have been slowly trickling in, but Kaleb gave eager fans a taste of what is to come during an appearance on This Morning.
The farmhand called into the ITV morning programme from Diddly Squat in Oxfordshire to speak with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
Holly said: “The latest series of Clarkson’s Farm is all finished filming – I think it’s in the edit right now.
“Obviously, we don’t want any spoilers, but has Jeremy’s instinct towards farming improved?”
Speaking from a goat pen, Kaleb replied: “Er… No,” leaving Holly and Phil giggling as she asked if he was 'even worse' than the first series.
Holly asked: “Is he learning nothing from you?” to which he said: “To be honest – how would I describe it now? – he’s got little knowledge and that’s very dangerous.”
Phillip said: “We absolutely loved the last one. Can’t wait. It’s one of those annoying series that's taking a while to get on the TV.”
Amazon Prime Video hasn’t provided an update on the exact release date of the second season, though an educated guess can be made.
Filming on season 2 began shortly after the first season of Clarkson’s Farm aired, with confirmation coming in July 2021.
Dan Grabiner, Amazon Studios’ head of UK Originals, said: "Clarkson's Farm is Jeremy's unfiltered love letter to farming.
“It is that authenticity, charm and humour, combined with the farm’s fantastic characters, which have made the series such a remarkable hit with audiences."
Clarkson, joined by his fan-favourite farmhand Kaleb, then released a short announcement video sharing their excitement for the season ahead.
The show will likely return in 2023, though fans should expect a release in the early months of the year, or spring at the latest.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
