Seema Pahwa is undoubtedly one of the most talented and versatile actresses we have in Bollywood. However, before she made it big on the silver screen, the senior actress worked extensively in various Delhi theatre groups.
In a recent interview, Seema revealed that she once accidentally became a part of a theatre group that was dubbed as 'vulgar theatre'. Yes, you read that right! This was the time when she was looking for more work that paid more money. That’s when she stumbled upon a theatre group that paid the most out of the lot but Seema had no idea what she was even performing on stage. She revealed that there was a Punjabi theatre group that performed at Sapru House, which was dubbed as vulgar theatre because all their dialogues were double meaning.
Seema recalled that she did not know Punjabi and was quite young to even realise what double meaning dialogues meant. The actress realised that something was amiss when the audience was laughing at everything. It was then she found out that she was in the wrong theatre group. As soon as she realised, she ran from there.
It was after working in theatre for a few years that Seema finally bagged the role of Hum Log’s ‘Badhki’ which gave her national fame.
