Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul finally made their relationship official by tying the knot in a lavish-yet-private wedding ceremony in Khandala with just their close friends and family in attendance.
Athiya stunned as a bride in a gorgeous rose pink lehenga on her big day. Did you know that the handmade lehenga took 10,000 hours to make? Yes, you read that right! Designer Anamika Khanna spoke about the inspiration behind the outfit. She was quoted saying, "Talking about the inspiration behind the outfit, she said it was Athiya herself. Anamika was quoted saying, “Athiya's got extremely fine, subtle, and beautiful taste. I wanted to develop something special for her that was resonant with the fact that she was going to be the bride, but she was never going to be that bride for whom everything else takes over. She has a very strong personality, and I think she's acutely aware of it.”
Elaborating further, she added, 'Nothing is screaming for attention [with the lehenga], and yet, it's just so her. Safe to say that it is not an outfit she will get bored of even in the coming years."
Athiya elegantly completed her overall gorgeous look with minimal jewellery which included a choker necklace, maang tikka, earrings and bangles.
The newly-wed couple is reportedly expected to host a grand reception for their Bollywood and cricket friends after IPL.
