Did UNC’s Armando Bacot re-injure his ankle against Kansas because of the Superdome floor?

North Carolina’s Armando Bacot was a double-double machine for the Tar Heels throughout the team’s incredible run to the national championship game in men’s March Madness.

But it was an ankle injury in the Final Four win over Duke that had everyone concerned — would that affect his performance in the title game against Kansas?

It didn’t … until there was under a minute to go and North Carolina was down by one. Bacot was driving to the hoop when his right ankle gave out from under him and he slipped, reinjuring himself.

Videos from that moment emerged with everyone wondering: Was it the Superdome court that was to blame?
