Did the Boston Celtics give up on Aaron Nesmith too soon?

The Boston Celtics clinched a 129-124 win at home against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night. For the Pacers, former Celtics sharpshooter Aaron Nesmith was the standout player for the team, leading all Indiana players in scoring with 26 points and 12 rebounds, while new Indiana addition Pascal Siakam contributed 23 points.

Nesmith always seems to have a little extra when playing against Boston, and we can understand why, given they did not stick it out with the Vanderbilt alum. But there is a very good case to be made he would be less of a player today than he is if he had not gone somewhere with time to let him spread his wings and develop his game.

Following the game, CLNS Media reporter Bobby Manning and Celtics Blog’s Noa Dalzell appeared on the “Garden Report” podcast to debate whether Boston might have moved on from Nesmith too quickly.

Check out the clip above to hear what they had to say.
