The NFL offseason is usually cryptic tweet season, when players around the league post subtle hints about what could be in store, something we think Tennessee Titans left guard Rodger Saffold might have done recently.
Of course, take this how you will because he could be talking about literally anything, but Saffold recently posted a tweet saying, “I don’t regret one moment wit you…”
Why is this even remotely significant?
Well, Saffold has routinely been pegged as someone the Titans could cut to create cap space this offseason, and this tweet could be a hint that’s what is happening.
I don’t regret one ☝🏾 moment wit you….

Parting ways with the veteran, who is set to turn 34 in June, would save Tennessee $10.5 million in 2022; but making such a move wouldn’t be an easy one.
Yes, Saffold did struggle in pass protection and with injury in 2021, but he’s also been a great leader and asset upfront overall for the Titans during his three seasons in Nashville.
With there being a little over one week until the start of the new league year and free agency (March 16), chances are Tennessee will begin making cuts this week.
While we wouldn’t be shocked if the Titans hang on to Saffold altogether or work out a restructure to keep him in the two-tone blue, our expectation is he’ll be cut.
