Did Patrick Beverley’s tweet mean something?

It was recently leaked that the Los Angeles Lakers will play the Los Angeles Clippers on Oct. 20, which will apparently be the second game of the regular season for the Purple and Gold.

The Lakers have had major problems head-to-head against the Clippers over the past several years, and LeBron James and Anthony Davis will surely be highly motivated to defeat their Crypto.com Arena co-tenants.

When the news of that matchup was leaked on Twitter, Patrick Beverley of the Utah Jazz commented with an emoji.

Via Lakers Daily:

“Though Patrick Beverley is no longer playing basketball in Los Angeles, he appears grateful for the fact that the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers have an early season matchup this year.

“The veteran point guard took to social media to express as much on Sunday evening.”

Beverley hasn’t played for the Clippers since the 2020-21 season, but he recently said James is the one superstar he would like to play with, and it appears the Lakers may have interest in acquiring him.

Does Beverley’s tweet mean he’s hoping to be traded to the Lakers?
