Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 fan-favourites Jamie Marinos and Dave Hand have responded to the cheating rumours that sparked from Dave’s partner swap with Veronica Cloherty.
MAFS‘ tumultuous partner swap challenge has officially come to an end. But of course, one of the cheeky couple switch-a-roos has copped some spicy cheating allegations.
Unfortunately, it appears that MAFS 2025 golden boy Dave Hand has been on the receiving end of these brutal rumours, after he was made to swap out his wife, Jamie Marinos, for intruder bride, Veronica Cloherty, who is ‘married’ to Eliot Donovan.
While there wasn’t any physical evidence of cheating, fans noticed that the pair had quite the chemistry during the partner swap. During the challenge, they even went on a cheeky date where producers asked Veronica why she was so giggly.
To make matters worse, Dave was noticeably stand-offish when Jamie returned to their apartment, fuelling rumours of infidelity amongst viewers.
Jamie and Dave have now chucked in their two cents on the cheating rumours.
Did Dave Hand cheat on Jamie Marinos with Veronica Cloherty on MAFS?
Speaking to Chattr, Jamie said she believes Dave didn’t cheat. However, she did state that she believed Veronica “had a hard-on” for her MAFS hubby.
“[Veronica] didn’t put my mind at ease. I don’t think Veronica knows how to be a friend,” Jamie dished to the publication.
“She had made comments that she thought highly of Dave [in the past]… obviously she was flirting her ass off [during the partner swap].
“I don’t think cheating is something that Dave morally could ever succumb to, like that’s one thing he [has] quite [a] firm belief on.”
Although Jamie believed her man wasn’t unfaithful, she did admit that she wished he’d been paired with someone else.
“I was very hospitable, I said, you’re welcome to sleep on the bed, I don’t want my husband sleeping on the couch, he’s very tall,” she continued.
“I was actually really nice to her. I didn’t like it… but I probably would have preferred just about anyone else.”
Dave claimed he and Veronica had a “friendship” and nothing else, adding that he was “totally committed” to Jamie during their time on the show.
“I’m not going to sleep with someone jumping in my bed for one or two nights, it’s not how it works, especially when I’m married to someone else,” Dave tells us.
“It’s a bit ridiculous that people would think that, but yeah, it definitely goes against my morals.”
Look, MAFS 2025 is not my first rodeo. I know how editing works, and those voxie questions towards Veronica were quite cheeky!
