Earlier this month, Married At First Sight stars Clint Rice and Jacqui Burfoot sent the internet into overdrive when they got engaged at a MAFS reunion watch party. Now, after posting some stunning professional photographs on social media, fans are theorising that the pair have secretly tied the knot.
In the pics posted to Jacqui’s Instagram, she can be seen wearing a beautiful white silk dress and holding a bunch of red roses. Meanwhile, Clint was sporting a white button-down shirt as the pair were papped kissing, walking across a Sydney road and joyously holding the flowers up in celebration.
Beautiful, right? But there’s no time left to gawk at the pics. It’s time to dive into the very serious and pressing investigation: Are MAFS Clint and Jacqui already married?
First things first, Miss Jac-Jac-Jacqui is wearing a pretty white silk dress. Very bridal of her, isn’t it?
Secondly, the pics were taken by a wedding photographer named Christopher James.
And thirdly, when PEDESTRIAN.TV reached out to Jacqui and Clint for a comment on the rumour, they declined.
Innntteresting, no?
On the other hand (the right hand, if you will), the pics could simply be an engagement shoot. After all, Christopher James does shoot engagements, and it’s not uncommon to see couples wear white in celebration of their upcoming wedding.
However, the most compelling piece of evidence against the hypothesis that they got married is the glaring lack of a wedding ring on Clint’s left hand in one of the pics.
Although, whose to say this wasn’t snapped right before they said their vows? HUH?!
While I’m 100 per cent playing the devil’s advocate here, I don’t think a swift wedding is off the cards for these two. However, I do think they’ll spend time planning a proper wedding.
A few weeks ago, the betrothed couple came into the PEDESTRIAN.TV office, clearly besotted with each other. At the time, they said they hadn’t locked in any plans for the wedding, aside from fellow MAFS star Morena Farina DJing the wedding.
“We were originally having conversations about how we’d probably just do something private or elope, but since having the engagement in a semi-public way at a party with a lot of people and we saw how much love there was,” Jacqui said.
“We were like, why don’t we have a big wedding?”
Regardless of when they plan to tie the knot, the pair are keen to move on from their MAFS lives and start fresh together. So much so that they’re even talking kids.
Taking to Jacqui’s Instagram Stories to answer questions from fans on Wednesday, the pair dished on their baby plans.
“I really want to have a baby called Livily if she’s a girl,” Jacqui said.
“And I’ve got Rio. Rio Rice,” Clint added.
“So it will be Livily Rice and Rio Rice,” Jacqui emphasised.
Say what you want about these two, but you’ve got to admire them for walking to the beat of their own drum.
So, are they married? Probably not. But if they are, me and my tin foil hat just called it.
