Dickie Rock’s son Jason has said he fears his father "won't make the end of the year" as he continues to be consumed by grief following his wife Judy's death back in April.
Jason Rock said his dad remains inconsolable following the shock loss after six decades of marriage and he fears that the singer will die by the end of the year.
Judy, aged 77, sadly passed away on April 25 after contracting Covid-19.

“To see someone just drop and drop, I’ve had to tell Dad, ‘You have to stop, you can’t keep dropping down. Your spirit has to come up at some stage’. Because if Dad doesn’t, he won’t make the end of the year — that’s a fact," he told The Irish Sun on Sunday.
“He needs to get over the grief because my biggest fear is my dad going right downhill and I couldn’t bare losing two parents in a year.
“The love between my mam and Dad was a lot deeper than we ever could have thought.”
Judy was on life support in Dublin’s St Vincent’s Hospital for several weeks after they returned home from Spain before she died.
Jason said: “My dad feels my mum shouldn’t have died.
“They shouldn’t have come home to Ireland. She shouldn’t have got Covid. There was no reason. It was unnecessary. He just feels terrible.
“I’ve had to say to him, ‘Dad, if Mum saw you moping around like this, she would come back and haunt you’. That’s got half a smile out of him and he told me, ‘Yes you’re right’."
Dickie, now aged 81, and Judy were devastated after the death of their eldest son Joseph, who was born with special needs. He died in 1992, aged just 25 at the time, but that grief is very different to the loss of his wife.
Jason explained: “Dad was devastated but he didn’t relay on my brother for everything the way he relied on my mother. He can’t even make a cup of tea for himself.”
