Dick Wolf, the renowned creator of 'Law & Order,' is venturing into the world of business with Netflix by collaborating on two true crime docuseries. Teaming up with Alfred Street Industries, Wolf Entertainment is set to produce 'Homicide: New York' and 'Homicide: Los Angeles,' each comprising five episodes that delve into different murder cases in the respective cities.
The shows aim to shed light on notorious murder cases through the perspectives of the detectives and prosecutors intimately involved in solving them. 'Homicide: New York' is scheduled to premiere on March 20, while 'Homicide: Los Angeles' will follow later this year.
Leading the production are executive producers Dick Wolf, Tom Thayer, Jane Lipsitz, Dan Cutforth, Nan Strait, Dan Volpe, and Adam Kassen. Wolf, a highly successful television producer, is making his streaming debut with these projects, having primarily focused on traditional television formats.
Wolf Entertainment is also working on the cop drama 'On Call' for Amazon Prime Video, featuring Troian Bellisario and Brandon Larracuente. Additionally, Wolf has developed content for NBCUniversal's Peacock streaming service, although none have progressed to production.
