Diane McBain has died at the age of 81 following a battle with liver cancer.
The actress was best known for her roles alongside Elvis Presley in 1966's Spinout, as well as her part in ABC's Surfside 6.
Her death was confirmed by confidants Michael Gregg Michaud, who revealed she passed away at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in California on Wednesday.
Michael, who co-authored Diane's 2014 memoir titled Famous Enough, said on social media: "It is with great sadness that I report actress Diane McBain lost her battle with liver cancer and passed away on December 21, 2022."
Fans quickly took to social media to share messages of condolence following the news. One user on Twitter wrote: "Sad to hear that Diane McBain has passed."
Another penned his own personal experience with the actress, writing: "RIP #DianeMcBain I still recall our lunch interview for my first book at Wolfgang Puck's in LA. She was sweet.
"Diane excelled as the bad girl in #Parrish #ClaudelleInglish #TheMiniSkirtMob but played the ingenue in #TheCaretakers & the sophisticate in #Spinout with #ElvisPresley"

Diane began her TV career in 1959 alongside James Garner on ABC's Maverick. The following year she landed the role of Daphne Dutton on Surfside 6, appearing on 45 episodes of the popular show.
She also featured in Claudelle Inglish, Parrish with Donahue, and a handful of episodes of 77 Sunset Strip. Elsewhere, she appeared on four episodes of Batman, reprising a number of different roles.
Other big-name series she featured on during her glittering career included General Hospital, Mod Squad and Days of Our Lives.
But her most prolific role came in Spinout as she played the part of ambitious author Diana St Clair who was trying to profile Elvis' character, race car driver Mike McCoy.
Last year she spoke to Boomer Magazine about her famous kiss on-screen with the legendary singer. She said: "Women have asked me many times what it was like to kiss Elvis.
"And I tell them it was just as wonderful as you would imagine! He was charming and a lovely person to work with. He didn't come on to me, which I appreciated because so many did throughout my career."
