Diana Vickers hits back at Tory accusations over 'vile' song about 'side piece Camilla'

Diana Vickers has hit back after furious social media users dubbed her a Tory over her controversial sketch on the Royal family.

Former X-Factor Diana, 31, was branded 'disrespectful' after she posted a parody video about Queen Camilla and Princess Diana just hours before King Charles' Coronation kicked off.

The 2008 semi-finalist shared a clip of herself and podcast pal Chiara Hunter singing about the royals - but it didn't go down with those who have a soft spot for the Queen Camilla.

In the now viral video, the two friends and podcast stars can be seen donning plastic crowns as they joke about King Charles' relationship with both Camilla and Diana.

Posting on both of their Instagram accounts, they captioned their video: "QUEEN CAMILLA ( the ultimate long game) For all you side pieces out there… stay focused."

The duo, known to fans as Ki and Dee, shared their song on Instagram but were met with immense backlash in the comments.

After receiving a slew of negative comments from royal fans, Diana took to Instagram on Saturday to hit back at claims that she is a Tory.

The blonde beauty shared a snap of herself looking nonchalant about the controversy as she posed in the snap before heading out for some celebratory drinks with her pals.

Alongside the selfie, Diana penned: "The most hilarious thing I've heard all week. That I'm a Tory. As you were."

In another post on her stories, Diana re-shared her viral video from a fan who insisted that people 'clearly don't understand the meaning of satire' as they backed the former X Factor star's parody song.

The stars started their video by singing: "Ladies, this is a lesson for all of you side pieces out there, stay focused.

"Well there was three of us in this marriage," Princess Diana's voice can be heard in an overlay from her infamous interview.

"But only one can be Queen - Camilla," the pair sang in fake American accents.

They then begin singing about Camilla and Charles' secret love affair, claiming they "were always destined for each other's heart".

"And Diana said 'Love me love me love me' I want to work on this marriage, and Charles was like 'ABSOLUTELY NOT' and we know what happened in Paris...

"Chemistry is chemistry, love is love, kept apart by an institution they said CHARLES SHE'S NOT ENOUGH - a little side piece divorcee, said she couldn't be Queen but she's doing it anyway", they continued.

When the pals get to the chorus they sing: "Coz ladies persistence is everything, C-A-M-I-L-L-A - what does it spell? Winner.

"C-A-M-I-L-L-A - what does it spell? Inspiration".

The two-minute song, shocked viewers as they flashed up images of Princess Diana in her iconic revenge dress with "waste of time" scrawled over it.

And it wasn't long before royal fans took to the comments to hit out at the singer.

"I don't get why this is funny... I find it disrespectful," wrote one, while a second fumed: "The lengths you’re willing to go to for a viral moment."

"You have some nerve," another snapped.

"I can’t actually process the evil Diana Vickers posting this. What possessed the 31-year-old to do this," quipped another.

"The tory Diana Vickers has truly made a fool of herself with this abysmal nonsense she now churns out in hopes of some kind of comedic career. Evil and awful. She really did fool us once with her phoney act," remarked a user.

Diana replied to one of the comments which called her an 'evil sad little girl' on her Instagram story, by writing: "Happy Friday x".
