Diana Ross is coming to Ireland this summer with a concert in Dublin's 3Arena

Legendary singer Diana Ross is set to come to Dublin this summer.

The American songstress will bring her Thank You Tour to Dublin's 3Arena on Sunday 3 July.

Tickets for the concert go on sale on Monday 14 March at 9am via Ticketmaster.

Ahead of her appearance in Ireland, the 77-year-old Motown singer is set to perform in the legend slot on the Pyramid Stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival in June.

Ross, who rose to fame in girl group The Supremes during the 1960s, had been confirmed to play the revered slot in 2020 before the Covid-19 pandemic forced cancellation. She'll join Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar.

"I’m so excited and grateful to finally know, that I’ll be seeing you at Glastonbury while on my UK Thank U Tour celebrating my new album of songs, Sunday, June 26, 2022," she said in a statement last November.

The musician has been working on the follow-up to 2006's I Love You throughout lockdown, releasing Thank You last year to acclaim.

The album is her first in 15 years, and also the first album of original material in 22 years. Her last record of original material was 1999's Every Day Is A New Day.

Thank You was written over lockdown with the likes of Jack Antonoff, Jimmy Napes, Tayla Parx and Spike Stent, and arrived last September via Decca.

“This collection of songs is my gift to you with appreciation and love. I am eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to record this glorious music at this time,” Ross said in a statement. “I dedicate this songbook of love to all of you, the listeners. As you hear my voice you hear my heart.”
