A Lanarkshire couple are celebrating 60 years of married life together.
Billy and Etta McDerment marked their diamond anniversary on February 24 surrounded by family as loved ones gathered for the happy couple.
The pair, both 83-years-old and from Hamilton, said being at each other's side no matter what life throws at them has been the key to a long happy life together.
A lovely anniversary cake was made for the occasion as Billy and Etta enjoyed having their family round for a celebratory drink on the day.
And it was all topped off by a very special delivery from Her Majesty the Queen herself, who sent her congratulations with a personalised card for the couple.
When asked what is the secret to a long and happy marriage, Billy and Etta told us: “Spending 60 years at each other's side, trusting and loving each other in every circumstance”.
