Increase and improve your character’s ability to heal by tracking down one of Diablo 4’s most useful natural materials.
The world of Diablo 4’s Sanctuary is scary, callous and not without its hellish challenges. Coming face to face with hundreds of demons is a regular occurrence during literally every session, so it’s important that you are able to heal your character and stay alive as effectively as possible. That’s why it’s well worth improving the potency of your standard potion using the right kind of material.
If you want to increase your potion’s ability to heal better when you’re most in need, you’ll need to track down a resource called Crushed Beast Bones. But if you don’t know what they are, how they function or where to find them, that’s what this article aims to cover. With all that said, here’s how to find and farm Crushed Beast Bones in Diablo 4.
How to find Crushed Beast Bones in Diablo 4
The first thing to mention is that in order to upgrade your healing potion to the Light Healing Potion using Crushed Beast Bones in Diablo 4, you’ll need to be at least level 30. This is the fourth upgrade level for your potion, hence why this particular resource can be tricky to find. Fortunately, there is one relatively easy boss you can seek out that sees a guaranteed drop for Crushed Beast Bones every time.
The boss in question is called Gaspar Stilbian , who is level 35 and will drop 5 Crushes Beast Bones once defeated. You can easily find him in an area just west of the Whispering Pines dungeon within the Scosglen region of the map. The best way to get here quickly is by teleporting to the ‘Under the Fat Goose Inn’ waypoint that you should have unlocked early on in Act II, making your way to Scosglen’s volcanic area known as The Scar.
If you’ve gone in the right direction, you’ll soon come across Gaspar Stilibian, who should be relatively easy to take down even if you’re a tad underleveled. Just be sure to deal with all his demon underlings before focussing on the big bad himself. Once defeated the Crushed Beast Bones will drop. And the best part about it is that he won’t take too long to respawn. Just hover around The Scar and you’ll soon be in a position to farm as many Crushed Beast Bones as you need.
How to use Crushed Beast Bones to improve your potion
The reason Crushed Beast Bones in Diablo 4 are so sought after is due to their ability to improve your potion for the third time. Alongside 20 Gallowvine and 10 Biteberries, you need five Crushed Beast Bones to upgrade it to the Light Healing Potion once you hit Level 30 as your character class.
All you need to do to upgrade your potion using Crushed Beast Bones is to visit an Alchemist NPC, found in towns such as Ked Bardu or Kyovashad, and then select the option from the in-game Upgrade Potion menu. Once done you’ll have a far more potent way of healing yourself when the heat of the Diablo action gets turned up – especially by the time you enter the endgame. Just bear in mind there are five more upgrade levels after you unlock the Light Healing Potion.
