Di'Shon Bernard shares fitness update ahead of Manchester United summer return

Di'Shon Bernard is working hard in the gym ahead of his return to Manchester United this summer.

Bernard joined United's academy from Chelsea in 2017 and he made his first-team debut two years later in 2019 against Astana in the Europa League. The defender has since been loaned to Salford City and most recently Hull City for this season.

The 21-year-old made a total of 28 appearances for Hull this term, but he lost his place in the latter stages of the campaign and he failed to make a Championship start after February. Bernard will now return to United before a decision on his future is made.

Ahead of Bernard's loan at Hull, the player signed a long-term contract at Old Trafford, which expires in the summer of 2026. Bernard could potentially be included in Erik ten Hag's plans next season and he's clearly working hard ahead of the new campaign.

Bernard shared an image of himself working in the gym this week ahead of the beginning of United's pre-season.

United will begin their pre-season on 27 June and there will be a tour abroad this summer for the first time in three years. United will play pre-season friendlies in Australia and the Far East, and there is also a fixture in Oslo, Norway scheduled.

Bernard featured for United in pre-season last summer before going out on loan to Hull.
