DeVonta Smith injury update: Latest news on Eagles WR

The Eagles took the practice field for the first time in preparation for Super Bowl LIX against Kansas City, and the star pass catcher sat out with a hamstring injury.

Smith has suffered hamstring and back injuries at specific points this season and could be out until at least Friday or Saturday.

On Wednesday for Philadelphia, RB Saquon Barkley (rest), WR AJ Brown (rest), G Landon Dickerson (knee), RB Kenny Gainwell (concussion/knee), TE Dallas Goedert (rest/ankle), C Cam Jurgens (back), DT Moro Ojomo (shoulder), Smith (hamstring), and T/G Brett Toth (knee) all would have missed practice.

Eagles WR Britain Covey (neck) would have been a full participant.

Brown has been nursing a knee injury for weeks and has sat out key practices for load management after earning All-Pro honors for the third straight year.
