During the 2021-22 regular season, the Phoenix Suns-Golden State Warriors matchups were one that you just had to tune into. After spending the bulk of that season as the best two teams in the league, they seemed destined for a collision in the Western Conference Finals.
Obviously, that did not happen. And now the two teams meet for the second time in this 2022-23 season with very different vibes as the Warriors struggle to find their identity and the Suns struggle to stay healthy.
Nevertheless, Wednesday night’s matchup could be an interesting one for a variety of reasons. It’ll become even more interesting after a handful of wagers.
Here are four props to bet on ahead of the Pacific Division clash.
Devin Booker - Over 27.5 Points
Devin Booker has produced another tremendous start to the season. Yet, his highs have been overshadowed by the Suns’ mediocre start (record-wise) and the greatness of so many other players and teams in today’s NBA. He’ll need to continue his stellar start to the year as Phoenix’s starting lineup deals with injuries to Chris Paul and Cam Johnson.
Booker has registered at least 28 points in three of the last four games he’s played in, which is good news for those feeling confident enough to bet on his Over 27.5 points player prop at BetMGM.
Stephen Curry - Over 4.5 3-Pointers
Betting on someone to make at minimum five 3-pointers seems nuts — unless that person is Stephen Curry. It’s something he’s done in nearly half of the games he’s played in this season (6 of 13).
Every night has a chance to be a magical night when Curry is on the floor, so I’ll lock him in at Over. 4.5 threes for Wednesday night.
Draymond Green - Over 1.5 Steals + Blocks
Say what you want about Draymond, he shows up to play as his usual self every night. You’ll get the playmaking, the energy and the effort on defense each time he’s out there. His steals (0.9) and blocks (0.5) are a bit down this season, but you should still feel good betting on him to combine for two total blocks or steals on a nightly basis. Those numbers are attainable.
Deandre Ayton - Over 8.5 Rebounds
There aren’t many options for the Phoenix Suns at the center position outside of Deandre Ayton. He plays a lot and is tasked with doing many things that others on his team might not do as much. That includes rebounding.
Interestingly, Ayton’s numbers are down to 7.7 boards per game this season. His prop for the night is set at 8.5 rebounds, which, as a career double-digit rebounder, seems low. Take your chances with the Over.
